Getting a printer working properly
You may be surprised: the road to the first page your printer produces can be a very short one, with no hitches at all, if you get help from Oz-Tal's support specialists. Printers are among the most common sources of frustration in a home or office, largely because the setup is rarely as simple as the box suggests — drivers, network settings, scan destinations and permissions all have to line up.
What we take care of
- Installing and configuring the printer on every machine that needs it
- Sharing the printer over the network, wired or wireless
- Setting up scan-to-email and scan-to-folder
- Configuring duplex, paper trays, colour profiles and default settings
- Connecting printing from phones and tablets
- Advising on consumables and the true cost per page
For a single machine or a whole office
Whether it is one device at home or a fleet of multifunction units across an office, the work is the same in kind and different in scale. For businesses we can also set up print accounting, so you know which department is generating which volume, and put a maintenance arrangement in place so consumables arrive before anyone runs out.
Remote or on site
Much of the configuration can be done remotely, over a secure connection, within minutes. Where a device has to be physically connected, positioned or serviced, a technician comes to you.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work with every make of printer?
Yes — HP, Lenovo, Canon, Epson, Brother, Xerox, Samsung and the rest. The principles are the same across manufacturers, and we keep current with the drivers and utilities each of them ships.
My printer worked and then stopped. Can that be fixed remotely?
In most cases, yes. A printer that stops working after a period of normal use has usually lost its driver, changed its network address, or fallen foul of a system update — all of which we can resolve over a remote session.
